1363     GEORGE NELSON OATMAN

1363    GEORGE NELSON7     (Darius6, Darius5, Benjamin4, George3, John2, Johannes1), son of Darius and Sally (McCollow) Oatman, was born about 1851 in Oxford County, Ontario.  He married Josephine _____.

Nelson died 6 May 1920 at his home in St. Thomas, Elgin County, Ontario, where he "had been ailing some months from heart trouble".  He had moved to St. Thomas about 1890, and attended the Central Methodist Church there.

The following children were those named in Nelson's obituary.

Children of George Nelson and Josephine Oatman:

3200    Talbot R.   He was a yard conductor of P.M.R.

3201    Clayton.  He was said to be living in "La Pasa, Texas" at his father's death.  It is doubtful that this is the correct spelling, and feel that it is either El Paso or Lampasas, Texas.

3203    (Daughter), m. Lee Black.  They were living in Southwold, ON, in 1920.

3204    (Daughter), m. Harold Koyle.  They were living in St. Thomas, ON, in 1920.

NOTE: The daughters were named Rosemond and Beatrice, named in the 1901 and 1911 census; Rosemond was born 21 Aug 1890, and Beatrice on 1 Feb 1899.
