203     SIMEON OATMAN

 

 

203      SIMEON6     (Peleg5, Daniel4, George3, John2, Johannes1), son of Peleg and Sarah (Millington) Oatman, was born at or near Arlington, Bennington County, Vermont, 8 March 1799, and died 6 July 1893 at the age of 94.  He married ca 1822/23, Martha Miller, born 4 September 1805 in Cayuga, Cayuga County, New York, and died 15 December 1891, aged 86.  Simeon was a master carpenter and joiner.  Their first five children were born in Arlington, Bennington County, Vermont, and the last seven were born in Ontario County, New York.  Simeon and Martha Miller

                                      I         Luda Ruth, m. in IA, probably Ackworth or Indianola, 12 Apr 1914, James Franklin “Frank” Mace, son of William Franklin Mace and Ada Grace Clark.  They met when he was in Iowa visiting relatives, and were divorced in the 1920's.  Luda Ruth had a restaurant in Stratton, Kit Carson Co., CO.  Frank died in the late 1960's in Denver, CO.   Children, surname Mace:
