2070 ANDREW B. OATMAN

2070 ANDREW B.⁸ (Charles P.⁷, Andrew⁶, Peleg⁵, Daniel⁴, George³, John², Johannes¹), son of Charles Peleg and Alice (Harrington) Oatman, was born at Center Shaftsbury, Bennington County, Vermont, 18 August 1866.

He married: 1) Florence Mary Barrett, whose name has also appeared as Mary Frances Barrett, who died 26 April 1896; 2) Monica Hausler of Hoosick Falls, New York, who died soon after her marriage; 3) Mary, daughter of Anthony and Ellen McGowan of Hoosick Falls, New York, on 18 August 1903. Mary was born in 1880, died in 1959, and is buried in Park Lawn Cemetery, Bennington, Vermont. Andrew and Mary McGowan were evidently divorced before 1930. In that year, Mary was living in Bennington Village, VT, with her four sons, and working as a machine operator in a textile mill. Andrew was in Jackson Town, Washington Co., NY, married to Katherine G. , who was born ca 1888, where he was a dealer in antiques.

In 1934, Andrew resided in Cambridge, Washington County, New York, and was a dealer in antiques. He had an interesting and informative collection, including many old records, Bibles and sundry articles of furniture and pottery which formerly belonged to some of the early Oatman families.
