266 HENRY B. OATMAN

266 HENRY B.⁶ (Elisha⁵, Samuel⁴, George³, John², Johannes¹), son of Elisha and Sarah (Bates) Oatman, was born in Derby, New Haven County, Connecticut, in 1813 and died 18 August 1895 at the age of 82 years.

He married: 1) on 6 December 1840, Lavinia, daughter of Josiah and Betsy (Butler) Curtis, born 7 July 1820, baptized 26 November 1820, and died 13 February 1842; 2) on 21 January 1846, Maria Curtis, born 6 June 1810, baptized 2 June 1811, a sister to Lavinia. Henry was a joiner by trade. He and Maria are listed as ages 37 and 38, respectively, in New Haven, Connecticut in 1850.
