284     JOHN W. OATMAN

 

 

284      JOHN W.6     (Daniel5Samuel4, George3, John2, Johannes1), son of Daniel and Ruth (Thomas) Oatman, was born at Hartford, Washington County, New York, in 1815 and died in 1894 at the age of 79 years. 

 

He married in Hartford, New York, Hester, daughter of John and Laura Northrup, born in 1823 in New York and died in 1905, both being buried in Evergreen Cemetery. 

 

John was a shoemaker West Hebron, Washington County, New York.  In 1850 his wife is listed as "Ann", but was shown as Hester in 1860.  By 1900 she was widowed, age 76, living in Hebron Township, Washington County, New York.

1094    Hiram Thomas, b. 17 Jan 1845, NY; d. 27 Dec 1901; m. Huldah Malbina Hills

 

1095    Frances Eveline, b. 1849 (age 9 months in 1850 census); she was said to have died 19 Jan 1843, but now believe it was 1853 instead. (Records of Old Hartford Cemetery show Frances Eveline, daughter of John and Hester, born 1848, died 9 Jan 1853, age 4y, 10m, 13d.)
