3121 JAMES LEROY⁸ (Freeman Willis⁷, James⁶, Asahel⁵, Benjamin⁴, George³, John², Johannes¹), son of Willis and Minnie (Woodard) Oatman, was born at Springford, Oxford County, Ontario, 5 July 1883 (gravestone says 1882), and died 28 October 1965.

He married, on 8 April 1908, Alfreda Mae, daughter of Frederick J. and Ellen (Lowther) Crouch, in Springford, Ontario; she was born 4 August 1884 (1883 per gravestone) and died in 1958. The family resided in Cornell, Ontario, after their marriage. They are both buried in the Springford Cemetery, Springford, Ontario.

5818 Lillian May, b. 1 Aug 1911, Springford, Oxford Co., ONT; d. 7 Mar 2006, Maple Manor, Tillsonburg, ONT. Per her obituary, Lillian was a former school teacher at Rosanna and Langton Public Schools. She was a member of the Springford Baptist Church; a life member of the Order of the Eastern Star #175, Norwich; Order of the Eastern Star #166, Long Point; a life member of the White Shrine, O.E.S. #16, Brantford; a life member of the Cornell Women’s Institute and also the Violet Rebekah Lodge. Services were held 10 Mar 2006 at the Verhoeve Funeral Home, Tillsonburg, with burial in the Springford Cemetery.
