3305 JEROME OATMAN

3305 JEROME⁸ (George⁷, George⁶, Oscar⁵, Benjamin⁴, George³, John², Johannes¹), son of George and Ellen (Haven) Oatman, was born in South Norwich, Oxford County, Ontario, 3 May 1853, and died 11 June 1940. He married Mary Ann Tren, who was born 8 May 1856 and died in 18 March 1929. (New Road Cemetery records list her as Mary Ann True, born 1856. Vital records of Oxford County, Ontario, list her father as James Frew.)

Jerome and Mary Ann may have had another son, George A., who died 3 October 1886 at the age of 1 year 4 months, and is buried with them in the New Road Cemetery.

C Myrtle, b. S. Norwich Twp., Oxford Co., ON; d. 1973, London, ON; m. William Mitchell. Myrtle resided on the fourth and sixth Concessions of North Norwich Twp. until she married ca 1948 and moved to lot 8 Concession 3 of Dereham Twp., where she lived the rest of her life. She was a member of the St. Charles Church, Dereham, and a former member of Mount Elgin Womens Institute. Bur Harris Street Cem., Tillsonburg, ON.

D Watson W., b. 19 Apr 1917, N. Norwich Twp., Oxford Co., ON; d. 21 Jan 1979, Tillsonburg, ON; m. Helen Duffy. Watson was a trucker and general farmer, and a lifelong resident of the Tillsonburg area. Bur. Tillsonburg Cem., Tillsonburg, ON. Children, surname Kennedy:

5910 Myrtle Alice, b. 9 Oct 1886; d. 28 Feb 1965; m. Ira Erwin Fenn, 19 Feb 1908, South Norwich, ON. He was b. ca 1881, d. 22 Jun 1957 in his 76th year, the son of Harry Fenn (1853-1928) and Deeta Hayward (1857-1942). Both bur. New Road Cem., Tillsonburg, ON. Children, surname Fenn:
