3780 BURTIS FRANKLIN OATMAN

3780 BURTIS FRANKLIN⁸ (Harvey B.⁷, Harry B.⁶, Lyman⁵, George⁴, George³, John², Johannes¹), son of Harvey B. and Lucy Jane (Hadley) Oatman, was born 25 December 1852, in Des Moines, Iowa, and died 14 April 1913 in Silver Lake, Lake County, Oregon, of typhoid fever. "He was well known in the valley."

He was married to Elizabeth Ann Burton, 21 September 1879, in Salt Lake City, Utah (another source gives the date as 22 January 1880). She was born 24 November 1863 in Salt Lake City, Utah, daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth Catharine (Moesser) Burton, and died 4 April 1956 in Stanfield, Umatilla County, Oregon. In 1920 she was widowed and living with her brother, William A. Burton, in Silver Lake, Oregon.
