3782    FRANK BENJAMIN8     (Harvey B.7Harry B.6Lyman5, George4, George3, John2, Johannes1) son of Harvey Benjamin and Lucy Jane (Hadley) Oatman, was born 3 February 1859 in the Rogue River Valley near Phoenix, Jackson County, Oregon,  died 4 February 1917, in Talent, Jackson County, Oregon, and was buried 5 February 1917 in the Odd Fellows Cemetery at Talent.  His death was due to heart failure, and he died at the Dr. McFadden ranch at the outskirts of Talent where he was ranch manager.


In 1870 he was living with the Benjamin F. Reeser family in Phoenix.  He married Nida Jane Sheets on 12 February 1901 in Jacksonville.  She was born 26 December 1872 in Meade County, Kentucky, and moved to Oregon at age 16 with her parents, Elliot and Patsy Sheets.  She was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church in Medford and a charter member of the Talent Rebekah Lodge.  She moved to Portland in 1959 to be with her daughter, Lucie Nolan, and died there 10  February 1964.  She is buried in the family plot in Wagner Creek Cemetery.

6293    Harry Lee, b. 11 Nov 1908, Medford, OR; d. 31 Jan 1985; bur. 5 Feb 1985, Eagle Point National Cem., Eagle Point, Jackson Co., OR.  Cem. records indicate he served in the U. S. Army as a private, and resided at Talent, OR.
