4700 CARL OATMAN

4700 CARL⁹ (Andrew B.⁸, Charles P.⁷, Andrew⁶, Peleg⁵, Daniel⁴, George³, John², Johannes¹son of Andrew B. and Mary Florence (Barrett) Oatman, was born 24 April 1889 and died 17 May 1924. He married, 28 January 1912, Elizabeth, daughter of Thomas W. and Ellen (Smith) Wallace of Schenectady, New York. She was born 5 August 1888.

The family settled at Schenectady, New York.

Carl Oatman was graduated from the North Bennington, Vermont, High School, and the Albany Business College. He was Secretary of the McDonald Construction Company in New York City until 1912 when he was engaged by the Westing Church Lair Company in a like capacity; later he transferred to the General Electric Company in Schenectady, New York. In 1921 he engaged in the real estate business on his own.
