990 David Colburn Oatman

David Colburn7  (Lyman6, David5, Samuel4, George3, John2, Johannes1), son of Lyman and Desire (Barrell) Oatman, was born 11 September 1840 in Hartford, Washington County, New York, and died in Buffalo, Erie County, New York, 10 July _____.

He married Alletta J. Arneson, who was born about 1846 in Norway.

David was the Clerk of Erie County, New York, in 1877-1879, and in 1884 was on the Angola Board of Education. He succeeded his father in the operation of a general store, which he was running in 1884.  In 1900, David's wife is Mary A. (Alletta) born May 1862, New York, and there are three children:  Minnie D., Lulu B., and David C. Oatman.
