1400 GEORGE OATMAN

1400 GEORGE⁷ (George⁶, Oscar⁵, Benjamin⁴, George³, John², Johannes¹), son of George Oatman, was born in Jefferson County, New Yorkin Jefferson County, New York, in 1829 and died at South Norwich Township, Oxford County, Ontario, 24 June 1865. He married Ellen/Ella Haven, daughter of William and Mary Haven.

The family settled in South Norwich Township, Ontario. In the 1871 census, Mary Haven was living with her daughter Ellen and her three children.

3304 Saphrona, b. 29 Nov 1852; m. Andrew Stillwell

3305 Jerome, b. 3 May 1853; d. 11 Jun 1940; m. Mary Ann Tren

3306 Roseltha, b. 30 Sep 1856; d. 1922; m. John Lavine, b. 1853, d. 1924; bur. New Road Cem., Tillsonburg, ON. A son, Jerome Lavin (1881-1926), and possibly a daughter, Nellie Lavin (1875-1964) are buried with them.
