25 ISAAC4 (George3,
John2, Johannes1), son of George and
Ruth (Wooster) Outman, was born in
Ripton, Connecticut, 17 September 1761, and died at Arlington, Bennington
County, Vermont, 17 August 1831 at the age of 70. He married 30 January 1783, Anna, daughter of
Elisha and Martha (Hubbard) Brainerd, born 6 February 1765, died 24 June 1829
at the age of 64.
Isaac served
during the War of the American Revolution, service being recorded in Vermont
Revolutionary Rolls at pp. 319, 508, as follows:
"A Pay Roll
of Capt. E. Wallis' Company of Militia for service done in the Year 1780. [Private] Isaac Oatman, Total pay
0.5.4."
"A Pay Roll
of a part of Capt. Elijah Galusha's Company of Militia in the town of
Arlington, who marched for the defence of the
frontiers of the State of Vermont in the month of October 1781. Arlington, July 1st, 1782. [Private] Isaac Oatman, Total Pay

International Genealogical Index of a Ruth Oatman who married Jordan Gray on
the above date in Arlington, VT. It has
not been determined whether this is the correct Ruth, but it is likely as
Jordan married her sister Martha after 1865.

1850, where Olive died and was buried in St. James Churchyard. In Oct 1868 Hawley moved to Chillicothe, MO,
where he d. 27 Aug 1883; he was buried in St. James
Churchyard in Arlington, VT. Per Prindle
Genealogy, "He was a prominent citizen; filled several town offices;
was justice of the peace in Bennington County, VT., for many years; and served
in the VT. State militia, having been commissioned by Gov. Palmer as 1st
lieutenant, 6th Company, 2nd Regt. 1st Brigade, 2nd Division. He was a farmer. Children, surname Prindle, born Sandgate,

Bowen, 24 Aug 1826, Shaftsbury, Bennington Co., VT. Luther was originally said to have drowned in
an accident on Lake Champlain while a young man. However, in 1830 he was living in Arlington,
Vermont, next door to his father Isaac, with three daughters; in 1860 he was in
Port Huron, St. Clair Co., MI, age 63, where he was a farmer and living with Polly,
age 62, born in OH. Luther may have been
a minister.
